Kid Loco - A Grand Love Story

Here we have Kid Loco - A Grand Love Story, so this unfortunately is not my record... I was at my local clothing shop the Krate here in Santa Cruz when I first heard this album. I walked over to their turntables to see the album cover and snapped this shot.

I rediscovered this the other day and couldn't stop listening to the album. Such good easy listen and keeps the vibes high throughout the whole record.

The search still continues for my own copy... I recommend this to anyone that comes across this album... Don't pass it up!

Incise - Scorpion Tail 12"

I came across Incise after finding Prince Ali - I Miss 1994.  Incise was the produce of most that album to my knowledge. After hearing that album I was interested is this new producer and his sound.

I came across a free download for his Nobody's Story album which was entirely produced by him around 08.  The album is filled with smooth beats, good MC's whom are unknown to the masses. This is a must hear for people that are in to nice mellow positive Hip Hop!

Pictured above is singles from Nobody's Story (Scorpion Tail) the only record Incise has pressed!

Lootpack - Soundpieces: Da Antidote!

Gotta start this off with one of my all time favorite albums.  I stumbled across this group in 2007 or 08 some where around there.  This was my introduction to Stones Throw records (little did I know this would end up being one of my favorite record labels)

When I first got a hold of this album I had no idea what I was in for.  Never knew of Madlib or his production really or Wildchild & Romes.  I remember listening to this album and just playing it all the way through and thought to myself this is one of the rawest and good feeling albums I have heard maybe all my life.  I didn’t skip a track I was engaged in every sound that was hitting my ear.  All the other MC’s on their caught my attention and would later learn to love their music as well (Declaime, MED, Kazi, Gods Gift, Dilated Peoples, Quasimoto)

Artist - Lootpack

If you haven’t yet listened to this album do yourself a favor and put this on play and enjoy the ride.  Just remember Wack MC’s Please All Yall Get Annihilated
